Conflict of Interest Policy



All authors must disclose any financial and personal relationships with other people or organizations that could inappropriately influence or bias their work. Examples of potential competing interests include:

  • Employment

  • Consultancies

  • Stock ownership

  • Honoraria

  • Paid expert testimony

  • Patent applications or registrations

  • Grants or any other funding

  • Affiliation with the journal as an Editor or Advisory Board Member

The declaration section must always be completed. Authors are mandated to declare any existing or potential conflict of interest known to them at initial submission. The corresponding author is required to complete this Declaration. It is the corresponding author’s responsibility to ensure that all authors adhere to this policy.
